Exporting references from Google Scholar

It is possible to export single references from Google Scholar into your EndNote library. First you must change the preferences within Google by following the steps below:

  1. From the Google Scholar home page (http://scholar.google.com) click on Scholar Preferences (to the right of the search box).
  2. Under the Bibliography Manager section click next to Show links to import citations into and then choose EndNote from the drop down menu.
  3. Click on Save Preferences at the bottom of the screen.

When you search within Google Scholar your references should now have an Import into EndNote link below them.

  1. Click on the link for the reference you want to import into EndNote.
  2. A message box will appear. Click on Open.
  3. From the dialog box choose the EndNote library you want to save your reference to and click on Open.

Your reference will be imported into your EndNote Library.
