Creating one bibliography from several chapters with individual lists of references
If you are writing a dissertation you may need to include a list of references at the end of each chapter and then create a complete bibliography to put at the end of your work. To do this follow the steps below:
- Write each chapter in a separate Word document and insert your references from EndNote as normal, to create a list of references at the end of the chapter
- In EndNote go to Tools > Format Paper > Format Paper…
- Select the first chapter of your dissertation and click Open
- Choose Scan Next and open each of the remaining chapters in order
- Select the output style that you want to use
- Click Format
EndNote will make a formatted copy of each document and put a complete bibliography at the end of the last chapter.
Labels: bibliography, chapters, dissertation, format paper, list of references, single
