Using the Personal Communication reference type with CU Harvard
The Personal Communication reference type in EndNote can be used to create references for information gained by letter, email or telephone call. You will need to complete the following fields, depending on the type of communication:
A letter
Author-Year-Title-Type-Recipient-Date
An email
Author-Year-Author Address-Title-Type-Recipient-Date
A telephone conversation
Author-Year-Title-Type-Recipient-Date
Note: If you need to make any small alterations to the reference that is generated, wait until you have finished your document and removed the field codes. You will then be able to make any amendments in the text and resave the document.

An email
Author-Year-Author Address-Title-Type-Recipient-Date
A telephone conversation
