Outputting an EndNote record in full

Occasionally you might want to output your EndNote references in a format which will show the information stored in all the EndNote fields, rather than just the brief format of a standard reference. To do this follow the steps below:

  • In your EndNote library use the Bibliographic output style box to choose Select Another Style...
  • Select the Show all fields style and click Choose
  • Make sure that you can view your EndNote Library and Word on screen at the same time, by resizing the windows.
  • Within EndNote highlight the references that you want to output. (Use the Ctrl key to select multiple references.)
  • Hold down the Ctrl key and drag the references across into your Word document.

Each reference will display all the information stored in the EndNote record.
