Updates to EndNote at Coventry

IT Services have now updated EndNote on the University network. A number of database filters which were causing problems, such as ASSIA, should now import references into EndNote accurately, without you having to ‘tidy’ them up.

The connection file for the Library catalogue has also been re-activated which means that you can search the catalogue from within EndNote and export references directly into your EndNote library.

Note: Full instructions for this can be found in the Advanced workbook (Task 3.1) on the Library's EndNote webpages

  • Make sure the General tab is displayed
  • Under the section Temporary Internet Files click Delete Files then OK

Firefox

  • Go to Tools > Options

There has been a change to the way you export references from the Ebsco databases (e.g. Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, Medline...) into EndNote.

  • Mark the records as normal by clicking on the Add icon;
  • View the folder;
  • You will now need to Select the references again within the folder before clicking on the Export option;
  • The rest of the steps remain the same.
